Many years ago I picked up a used copy of Frank Herbert’s science fiction classic Dune (see also here), and I read about a hundred pages into it before setting it aside.
There is so much more to see... Most of my experience has been in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Asia, Australia, most of Africa, and South and Central America (and Antarctica) I have yet to visit. :) But speaking of Michigan and Ontario, you might like my sailing and fishing blogs, records of my experiences in that same beautiful region of the earth.

I've only left the US twice. Over the Michigan border into Ontario for two brief trips. Ages 7 and 17.
