An Introduction to 52 Hebrew Words that Every Christian Should Know
In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this year we are studying the Old Testament and the Pearl of Great Price. I began my scripture commentary with the Old Testament and the Pearl of Great Price in 2022, followed by my commentary on the Book of Mormon in 2023 and 2024, and my commentary on the Doctrine and Covenants in 2025 and 2026. I look forward to studying the New Testament again in 2027.
Our return to the Old Testament this year has drawn me back to my study of the Hebrew language, which I began to study in France, after my mission to southern Italy, and which I studied more rigorously in Israel.
Recently my parents gave me a Christmas present that I have been savoring, a beautiful little book entitled 52 Hebrew Words Every Christian Should Know.
I love this beautiful little book that illuminates Old Testament Hebrew language. In it, the author, Dave Adamson, shares beautiful and simple Christian reflections on 52 Hebrew words and their meanings that transform the way that we study the scriptures and help us to apply true principles in our daily lives. I have made this book a part of my daily devotional study. I highly recommend it to all those who desire to improve their scripture study, and to worship God the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.
