Beware of Technocracy

Greetings fellow Vigilant Citizens,

This foolish husband doesn’t know that “whenever you get a chance” means “right now.” 😂

This man who agrees with the media, universities, corporations, and Hollywood thinks that he is part of the resistance. 😂

Mark Hemingway at The Federalist thinks that Democrats’ biggest problem right now is that they are out of touch and uncool. He even feels bad for them and embarrassed by them. Given the almost unprecedented approval ratings of Trump’s speech, he wonders: “what the hell is wrong with these people?” 😂 Meanwhile, Trump is expected to sign an executive order to abolish the department of Education.

In The American Mind, Daniel J. Mahoney explains why the left trivializes real totalitarianism. I agree, although many on the right are also blind to Musk’s technocracy that Trump facilitates. Whitney Webb’s books (see here and here) are helpful for understanding the connections between Musk’s technocracy and Trump’s power. This new totalitarianism will be more terrible and more terrifying than anything that even Orwell, Huxley, or C.S. Lewis could have imagined.

Jacob Akey at First Things fears that he hates the homeless. His solution? Pray for them. I think that it’s going to take a lot more than that, but that’s a good place to start.
