For some reason the approach of autumn draws me back to a study of Dante.
As I renewed my email exchange with my undergraduate Dante professor and as I received notices for another 100 Days of Dante, I remembered that I had already begun a blog that I called my “Dante Notes” or “A Single Sparkle.” As I perused and reviewed these notes and noticed that it was a great beginning, I thought that by sharing my progress in this study I might find more inspiration to continue. It is also a great prelude to the 100 Days of Dante, for whomever wants to read the Divine Comedy together with the world’s largest online reading group.
This is the beginning of my “Dante Notes” or “A Single Sparkle”:
Next week the 100 Days of Dante begins again, and perhaps my Dante Notes “A Single Sparkle” will spark some interest in reading Dante for the first time or for studying his work more closely.
